Hampton Watercraft & Marine, located in Westhampton Beach, NY & a marina Hampton Bays, NY is proud to have sponsored the Ariel, captained by Ned Kaplan, in the SMTC Offshore Fishing Tournament .The tournament, with an average of 80 boats and 600 quests in attendance is one of the largest on eastern Long Island and benefits the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island.

Starting August 15th, 2009 through August 23rd the Ariel, a Boston Whaler 345 Conquest, set out in the overnight category with hopes of coming back with a big one. Captain Ned Kaplan and his crew knew it would be tough, but they persevered. The Ariel also came in third place, catching two White Marlins weighing 65 and 70 lbs, and was able to weigh in three Yellow Fin at 69 lbs. each, and a 48 lb. Albacore. During the tournament there were over a dozen Mahi caught on the Ariel.
