A lifelong resident of Hampton Bays, Tony’s connection to the water began early—his family purchased their first boat in 1976, sparking a passion for boating, fishing, and watersports that would shape his future.
Tony launched his first marine venture while still in junior high school, working summers aboard a yacht at the Bath & Tennis Club in Westhampton Beach. Recognizing a unique opportunity, he began offering boat detailing and piloting services, gradually growing the business throughout his high school years.
An accomplished athlete, Tony graduated from Hampton Bays High School with a wrestling scholarship to Ithaca College in New York, where he studied physical education. Despite his academic pursuits, he always knew his path would lead back to the marine industry.
In 1990, Tony officially entered the retail boating market representing Yamaha WaveRunner at the New York Boat Show. That same year, he established Hampton Watercraft & Marine, opening the first retail location in Westhampton Beach specializing in WaveRunners and marine accessories. Under his leadership, the business has expanded significantly and now operates three marina locations, offering a wide range of premium watercraft boats and yachts.
Tony attributes the company’s success to his dedicated team, whose commitment and expertise have been instrumental in building Hampton Watercraft & Marine’s reputation for excellence.
In addition to his business endeavors, Tony is deeply involved in community service. He’s a dedicated member and contributor of the Hampton Bays Lion’s Club and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. Both the Lion’s Club and St. Mary’s focus on the local community raising money for veterans, guide dogs, and individuals in need.

Joe Villareale
Vice President
NameJoeVillareale
TitleVice President
I was born in Queens, moved to Brooklyn at an early age but really grew up in Hampton Bays NY. I was introduced to boating and fishing by my uncle in a 12ft aluminum Row Boat. Our family spent the Summers in Hampton Bays Fishing and Clamming in Tiana and Shinnecock Bays. Our first family boat was a 17’ Bow Rider. I will always remember when relatives would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always “I’m not sure but something to do with boats would be really cool”.
Growing up, Athletics was a big part of my life. Most of the life lessons I learned as a child I learned on the Wrestling Mats in Hampton Bays. Not wanting to ever be too far from the ocean, I continued my academics and wrestling at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. There I majored in sports management and had the privilege to learn more about what it takes to succeed by watching and working with members of several National Championship Teams.
Shortly after college I decided to join my brother in his already established business, Hampton Watercraft & Marine. I took over the Westhampton Beach facility while Tony expanded to our first marina in Hampton Bays. I immediately developed a passion for the marine business. I quickly noticed that if I applied the work ethic I had learned growing up that success soon would follow.
After spending more than 15 years running our highway location in Westhampton, an opportunity to buy a marina in Eastport came up. After negotiating for literally years, we eventually closed the deal and moved our Westhampton operations to the water on Moriches Bay. It didn’t take long for people to notice our different approach to customer satisfaction when compared to the other marinas in the area. Success soon followed.
There is nothing I enjoy more than working hard all day and then jumping in a boat with family or friends to watch one of our amazing Sunsets in Moriches Inlet. I also enjoy fishing and clamming in some of the same secret spots I used as a child. I look forward to traveling and my yearly escape to the keys to relax.
See you on the water!

Phillip Luce
NamePhillipLuce
Phill was born and raised in Hampton Bays and has been boating out of Shinnecock since he was 6 months old (some would say there's salt in his blood). At 18, Phill earned the rank of Eagle scout and graduated Hampton Bays high school. From there, Phill attended Suffolk County Community College where he earned his associate's degree in liberal arts and is now pursuing a bachelor's in business management, as well as becoming a certified Mercury Marine Technician.
Having grown up with a passion for the water, working at a marina was natural. Phill started with Hampton Watercraft in 2016 as a dock hand in the summers and has progressed into running the Smith's Creek location. Phill's favorite part about the job is seeing marina members enjoying the same waters that he and his family have for decades.
When not at work, Phill can be found skiing, hunting, or fishing on his custom classic Whaler.
